The Friends of St. Mary's (the “Friends” ) was formed as a Registered Charity in 2008 with the aim of  “... supporting the maintenance, repair, restoration, preservation , beautification and improvement of the fabric of the church and churchyard ...”.

Since its inception it has raised many thousands of pounds enabling it to contribute well over £50,000 to the maintenance of St. Mary’s.  In 2017 the Friends funded the restoration of the windows in the church with a grant of over £15,000 and in 2018 they helped with the re-pointing of the external walls of the chancel, repairs to the porch floor and to one of the columns in the church. Without the help and support of the Friends, St Mary’s would not be in the condition it is now - please do support them.
